This A-mount lens features a maximum aperture of f/3.5-5.6, helping to keep size and weight to a minimum, and the optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element and two aspherical elements to combat aberrations and increase sharpness and contrast. Also, it has an auto clutch mechanism that prevents the focusing ring from rotating when autofocus is engaged while an internal focus design enables fast, responsive AF.
